I’m Lucy!
Having been in the beauty industry for 20 years (this year!) I’m living my dream along with my dream team at The Beauty Stop.
Some of my beauty career was well spent in spas such as Center Parcs, on board the cruise ships, a stint in a spa in Cyprus and working in salons locally. I have worked with and learned so many different treatments, techniques and brands during my career that I wanted to combine all of my experience, combine it into my own space and create a little retreat of my own.
Having worked a number of years hands on in the industry, I wanted to share my knowledge and love of the job and found my passion in teaching and education. I completed my teacher training through Nottingham Trent University enabling me to teach NVQ’s & VRQ’s within further education colleges.
After around 8 years of teaching, I expanded my career further in sales and training working with a number of well known brands such as OPI and BeautyPro. Starting off as a regional business development manager moving onto key accounts and national accounts over the UK. I absolutely loved this journey but after 4 years was cut short due to covid.
However, my journey didn’t stop there! I decided to go it alone self employed, I must of been crazy during a pandemic right? But this has been the most exciting and fulfilling part of my career so far. I’ve opened The Beauty Stop with an amazing team of self employed girls who I adore, it gives me a fuzzy feeling that we’re creating the perfect retreat for all your beauty needs!
I couldn’t give up teaching altogether and I still keep my hand in the training side and work as a trainer for my ultimate favourite brand the #milliondollarfacial this has taken my business to the next level and creates amazing results! I specialise in skin care and waxing.
I have a wonderful husband and young family and I’m doing all of this for them! But I could never of done any of this with out my parents and my amazing dad who encourages me, supports me and basically does it all for me when I have an idea! He made my dream come true. ♥

Hi I’m Donna!
I qualified as a beauty therapist in 2008 and went straight into working in some amazing spas.
The most incredible place I worked was Eden hall, the standard of treatment and professional etiquette was outstanding and I truly believe that’s what made me the therapist I am today.
During my time in spas I worked with incredible brands such as Elemis, decleor, thalgo, spa find, Jessica, opi, cnd and espa.
Since leaving spas I’ve maintained my learning and started working with other brands too.
After leaving spa work, I went to work in a stunning boutique salon in Southwell and this is where I fell in love with the brand Neom. Any of my clients will know my love for this incredible brand and will have smelt it for past 4 years filling my treatment room!
I started my self employed journey 4 years ago when I started up @dbbeautyxxoo I would of never dreamed it would become what it is now. And I’ll be forever grateful to all the clients who come to me, recommend me and share my work. I’m living a dream to be able to pamper and become friends with such amazing people ♥
I am trained in most beauty treatments but I adore and specialise in massage and holistic therapist.
My client base is built mostly from full body massage and luxury spa facials.
I always try to educate myself and learn new skills in this area so I can provide the most tranquil and blissful treatments.
I will soon be offering reflexogy in the salon and I’m so excited to bring this to my clients and all new clients.
I am known for 2 hour massages. And no this isn’t a joke!! This is my favourite way to massage someone. And what a incredible treat it is to give yourself that time.
My favourite thing is when my clients get off the bed so happy and calm and I can see the physical effect it has had on their mind, body and soul.

Hi I’m Alice
I am a qualified nurse! My journey began in the Beauty industry in 2004.
I worked in a busy salon in Nottingham for around a year but I yearned to learn more and wanted to study further. I studied Sociology & Social Policy at Uni of Nottingham which I thoroughly enjoyed. After receiving my Joint BA Hons degree I went onto study adult nursing at Postgraduate level and was an ITU nurse for a lot of my career.
My long term goal was to learn Aesthetics, combine this with my beauty knowledge and have my own business. I worked in the NHS for 9 years and would often practice treatments at home on friends and family.
After many years of talking about doing Aesthetics I took the plunge to start learning again and from 2018 until now I am still training in new treatments & techniques (including managing complications and infection control)
In 2019 I took up a part time position as a clinic nurse at Transform Cosmetic Surgery clinic along side Critical Care. This introduced me to the Cosmetic world and gave me a great insight into surgical procedures, such as Liposuction, where I assisted the Surgeons in many procedures.
When the pandemic hit I was furloughed and started planning my business venture @eden_beauty_aesthetics and I opened up my own clinic early 2021. I absolutely love what I do now; I feel educating & advising my clients on what might be the best treatment plan for them is what I do best. I am a good listener and safety is at my core.
I carry out many beauty treatments such as post surgical massage, sports massage, facials & waxing, Aesthetics is my forte! I am gentle, I take my time & I am down to earth. I don’t ever say “you should have this or that” & I will always promote less is more! 🥰
My work and results are aimed at enhancing your natural beauty rather than changing your appearance. I love working with older clients to encourage them to feel confident in their own skin.
I am here to educate & enable you to make your own informed decisions. My work as a nurse has taught me much in overall health & wellbeing. I try to crate a person-centred holistic approach with all my clients.

Hi I’m Alex,
I started my beauty journey 16yrs ago at Eden hall day spa and have since worked in various other spas in Nottingham. I have trained in many brands along the way and even took my skills abroad where I worked in a spa in Australia.
After some time working in spas I decided to go into salons and this is where my love for all things beauty began. I have worked in some amazing salons and have learnt so much from them but when COVID hit and I had my daughter I decided to take the leap and set up ‘Beauty by Alex.’ @beautybyalex.x
I have now been self employed for nearly 2yrs, working from home in Nottingham and in Mansfield and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I absolutely love getting to know all my clients and providing them with all their treatments. I’m so grateful to every single person that has been and had their treatments with me, you really are making my dreams and goals a reality ♥

Hi everyone,I’m Kineisha!
I have been working at The Beauty Stop since December 2023 after completing my nail course with The Gel Bottle Academy in the November. I am loving my time here and gaining some lovely clients that I am excited to see at each appointment! After focusing on Gel and BIAB nails for the last few months I am ready to gain more qualifications in lots of different areas to be able to offer more and more treatments

Hi I’m Imogen,
My beauty journey started when I qualified in 2017. I then went on to get a job at the prestigious Ragdale Hall where I stayed for the next 3 and a half years. It taught me so and most of all, the spa etiquette it taught me. It was here that I knew I loved the beauty industry more than I could ever imagine. I achieved some amazing things during my time there including training in Elemis, Decleor, Clarins, Spa find, OPI and many more.
I found my passion for Elemis and became a Specialist Therapist with the brand, I worked alongside a fantastic team and went on many head office trips to visit the flagship store, experiences that I will never forget. Elemis changed me as a therapist and I’m so glad I took that opportunity.
When I moved into my first home just before lockdown I knew it was time to start a new journey closer to home, that’s when I took the leap into self employment during the pandemic! It was the best decision for me and this is where I met Lucy, she has given me the opportunity to now have my own room and continue to grow my business from the most beautiful salon with a fabulous team. I absolutely adore being self employed and being able to provide my clients with a wide range of treatments.

I’m excited ti be starting at The Beauty Stop from the 1st April! Here’s a little bit about me…
I have always had an interest in beauty but didn’t take the plunge to change careers until I was on my maternity leave in 2019, since then I have never looked back!
Since qualifying I have always worked on a self employed basis so that I can work around my busy family life. I started as a mobile therapist before settling in salons.
I offer all aspects of beauty but my heart lies in facials and massage. I use Eve Taylor as my main facial line which is the perfect balance of relaxing aromatherapy blends and scientific, skin-loving ingredients. Alongside Eve Taylor I am also a Million Dollar Facial Platinum Technician, this range provides fantastic results from targeting facials and I love to see my client’s skin journey from these treatments.

Hi I’m Liz.
The new Liz, working with the old Liz but you’ll find me on the booking system as Liz Kay just to stop the confusion! 😆
I started my beauty journey 15 years ago I decided to do beauty after struggling with my full time sales and account management role and being late for my daughter picking her up from the childminders from battling with all the motorways, I decided it was time for a change!
I’ve always loved the beauty industry and started my journey with nails and pedicures, spray tans, lashes and waxing Until lock down. Then I started training in the medical laser industry which is where my passion is after struggling with my own acne and unwanted hair! I love that I can help ladies with really personal problems when it comes to unwanted hair and hormones causing it to grow where no woman wants it! It’s also a way for me to help ladies mentally and practically after suffering myself I know how this can make you feel!
I worked at a salon in the town centre for many years then I moved to pure beauty where I’ve spent the last 7 happy years but after meeting Lucy and her team and seeing the new premises I knew this was the new home for me and all my lovely ladies 🥰❤
